Thermax is executing an order for an oilfield redevelopment project in Netherlands to supply a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) to generate 408 TPH of steam at 310 degree centigrade using the waste heat of a GE 9E gas turbine. The HRSG will generate steam for oil wells in. The system, in the absence of turbine exhaust, can also be fired on other fuels like oil and gas. Thermax will adhere to European design and manufacturing codes and standards.
In India, for a 368 MW combined cycle gas based power plant being set up in Andhra Pradesh, it is supplying its first HRSG in the utility segment on a Frame 9 FA gas turbine. Thermax has mastered the expertise to design, manufacture and commission HRSGs that can make a critical difference to the heat rate and productivity of power plants.
On this project, Thermax worked closely with its technology partner, Babcock & Wilcox, USA.
