Solar panels work by absorbing sunlight with photovoltaic cells, generating direct current (DC) energy and then converting it to usable alternating current (AC) energy with the help of inverter technology.

The output of a solar PV system is usable AC power and it matches the parameters of the grid power. This power is connected to the user’s electrical system at a suitable LT/HT voltage. You can run all your loads with this combination of solar and grid power, and it’s the key to a future of lower electricity bills and a cleaner environment. **Thermax currently only serves the Industrial and Commercial Segments.

The energy generated by the Solar PV system replaces or minimizes the energy drawn from the grid and thus leads to savings in your electricity bill.

Your solar panels will still generate electricity during cloudy, rainy, or snowy days — they just won’t produce as much energy as they do on sunny days.

When you install a solar PV system and also opt for net metering, you’ll have an electric meter that works both ways. It will read how much energy is consumed from the grid.It will also show how much energy was exported when the solar power generated was more than the consumption. This may happen during holidays or periods of low production or load conditions. In such times the excess energy is fed to the grid and recorded in the meter and the set-off can be taken in subsequent months.

The utility company will settle the amount (offset) in your monthly electricity bill. So at the end of the month, you’ll only pay for the net amount of electricity. Let’s assume you exported 1000 units of solar energy and used 1500 units from the utility company during the month. Instead of paying for 1500 units, you’ll only have to pay for 500 units.

That depends on the electricity usage of your business, and the rate your utility company charges for electricity. You can save as much as 90% of your monthly electricity bill. Or you may save as little as 10%. It all depends on the solar system that you can install on your available area and also your consumption. Generally levelized cost of electricity generation from solar is 45-50% lower than convectional grid.

Your solar panels will start generating usable energy for your property the day they are installed. You could start noticing the difference in your bills, the very first month after commissioning a solar power plant in your monthly electricity bills.

Solar panels are easier to maintain because solar panels have zero moving parts and hence minimum wear and tear. You’ll have to do to maintain your solar panel to make sure they’re free of dust. You will need to clean your Solar panels twice a month with regular water (This frequency may change depending on how dusty the area is)
